A+ certification or minimum 2 years field experience (uncertified new hires have 90 days to get certified). Applicants must demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of component level hardware and configurations. Competence diagnosing and troubleshooting MS-DOS, Microsoft Windows, (3.x, 9.x,ME, NT, 2000,XP), and other software problems is required. Knowledge of system files and the Windows registry is expected. Macintosh experience is a plus.JOB DESCRIPTION:
Technicians will perform on-site consultations, troubleshooting, upgrades, diagnosis, repairs, as well as network configuration and integration for home and business computer users. Cell phone, and a company vehicle are provided for the purpose. Technicians wear a uniform consisting of nondescript khaki pants or shorts, and a golf shirt with company logo. Technicians are assigned to scheduled jobs each morning, and leave the corporate office with a docket of those jobs. Occasional bench work is involved as well.Since client familiarity with computers spans the entire spectrum, patience and excellent communication skills are critical. Successful candidates will be results-driven, highly organized, detail oriented, and have a desire to be the best.
This is a full-time position.
